Krakatoa Massif

Krakatoa Massif is a result of the 1883 eruption of the Krakatoa volcanos, likely triggered by seismic instability of the Grand Cataclysm. The range stretches 200 km in length, linking the islands of Sumatra and Java. At its widest point, the massif is 25 km across. The highest peak in Krakatoa Massif is Tharsis Mons, which is the world’s highest peak on the Earth, officially recognized as being 10 km in height.
